1. Overview

At MyYearY2K Crochet, each item is handmade with care in small batches. Due to the nature of handmade and made-to-order products, most sales are final. This policy explains when returns or refunds are accepted, in line with UK consumer law.

2. Your Right to Cancel (UK Consumer Law)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, customers have the right to cancel online purchases within 14 days unless the item is exempt.

The following items are exempt from the right to cancel and are non-returnable:

  • Custom-made or made-to-order crochet items

  • Personalised items

  • Digital crochet patterns once accessed or downloaded

  • Crochet accessories worn close to the skin (for hygiene reasons)

For eligible, non-custom items only, the 14-day cancellation period begins the day after you receive your goods. To exercise this right, you must contact us by email within 14 days and return the item within a further 14 days.

3. Eligibility for Returns

Where a return is legally permitted, the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition

  • Original packaging must be intact

  • Proof of purchase is required

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

4. Refunds

Refunds are only issued where required by UK law or where an item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect.

  • We do not offer refunds for change of mind on non-eligible items

  • Approved refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect

5. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

  • We will cover return postage

  • You will be offered a full refund or replacement, where available

6. Exchanges

Exchanges are not guaranteed and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us before returning any item to confirm availability. Exchanges are only considered once the original item is received and inspected.

7. Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return postage unless the item is faulty or incorrect. We strongly recommend using tracked shipping, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.
